Live Simply
I walk through the woods, joyous noise is all around.
A symphony in the trees, here is found.
Reminding everything to be still, to listen.
The cock doesn’t crow, the ducks don’t quack and the sheep only want to nap.
The rain teaches me to live with care, listen, be aware.
If I’m quiet I can hear a small fragile truth as it comes near.
A thing that will teach me kindness in the face of my fear.
Humbly, I sit so I may learn from the sound- as the rain continues to tumble down.
It tells me;
“These times must come and wishing does not bring out the sun.
The lesson is not over, till the rain is done.”
