Hang the little buggers!

Eggs, people I’m talking about eggs.

Boy do you need help!

Through my adventures in egg decorating I  discovered an incredable simple way to hang the finished product, which is good since I seem to be unable to stop making them.  You can do it too, all you need is some wire and fishing line.

Here goes:

Just a little twist of wire with a line running through it.

Make sure it is flat enough to get through the hole in the top.

In it goes. Make sure to get the knot of the fishing line in too otherwise it will stick out and be most ugly!

Push it all the way in till only a tinny loop of line remains outside.  This allows the wire to turn sideways in the egg.

Don’t drop that loop, this is kind of a one way street.

Pull up and you are done.  The wire should catch.

I made some flowers to thread through the line and cover the hole.

I like to varnish them afterwords.  It makes them just that much more durable and shinny.  OWWWH shinny.

I figured that a box + cut up cloths hanger + bobby pins = your life so much easier!

You can just slip the loop in the pin and push the pin onto your rods, and they stay very nicely.  Make sure they don’t start to stick to one another and if they do just gently separate them with a piece of wire and avoid getting them stuck to the egg on the other side of them.

Easy as pie.  Mud pie, that is.

Not actual fruit pie cause that is more complicated but far tastier than vanished eggs.

Ummm pie…
